The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Highway District 4 is planning some important road adjustments along South Dixie Highway (US 31W) and major improvements to Gilead Church Road (KY 1136). The goal of these changes is to improve access to the south side of the Blue Oval SK site in Glendale, Kentucky. As part of this roadwork, utility companies will need to move or adjust their existing utilities that are in the way of the construction. Specifically, the water district will be working on relocating and installing around 2.5 miles of new water lines and 1 mile of new sewer lines along the project area. In addition to the relocation work, the project will include improvements to the water lines along Gilead Church Road. These upgrades are being made to help meet future water demand and support the expected growth in the area.

This effort will ensure the infrastructure is ready for the increasing needs of the community and the developments around the Blue Oval SK site.
