Employee Spotlight – Jordan Burden

Employee Spotlight - Jordan Burden

Jordan Burden joined Hardin County Water District No. 2 in April 2025, beginning his career in Distribution before transitioning to the IT department in July 2025. Since then, he has become a valuable member of the HCWD2 team. In his day-to-day role, Jordan is responsible for maintaining the District’s technology infrastructure at the main office and both water treatment plants. He provides technical support for IT equipment throughout the organization, helping ensure everything remains operational, secure, and reliable.

One of Jordan’s proudest accomplishments has been creating and implementing the District’s IT Asset Inventory System. He developed an asset identification and inventory system to improve how technology and work orders are managed across the organization. The system provides a centralized way to track IT equipment, maintain detailed work histories, and improve the management and documentation of work orders. It has also created a more organized and efficient way to manage technology assets across all HCWD2 locations.

What Jordan finds most fulfilling about his work is helping others and solving problems. He enjoys knowing that his work makes a difference in the District’s everyday operations and helps employees do their jobs effectively. What inspires Jordan to do his best work is knowing that what he does directly impacts the people around him. By keeping HCWD2’s technology running smoothly, he helps employees perform their jobs efficiently and ultimately, helps the organization better serve the people of Hardin County.

Jordan’s favorite part of the job is that everyday is different. The variety of challenges he encounters and the opportunity to assist different areas of the organization keep his work interesting, rewarding, and challenging. One of Jordan’s favorite HCWD2 memories was helping run the Water District’s station at the St. James School field day.

We are proud to recognize Jordan for his dedication, technical expertise, and commitment to helping others. His hard work plays an important role in keeping HCWD2 running smoothly, and we appreciate all he does for our team and the community we serve.
