The water district is planning to replace several thousand feet of water main in the Eastview and Stephensburg areas. These areas have been experiencing frequent water line breaks and failures, which is why the district is taking action to improve the infrastructure. The replacement work will involve installing new water lines, including 11,000 feet of 8-inch pipe, 9,000 feet of 10-inch pipe, and 12,000 feet of 12-inch pipe.
To make sure the replacement is done efficiently and to the highest standards, the water district has hired an engineering firm to handle the planning and design of the project. Construction on these new water lines is expected to begin in late 2025. Once completed, the new pipes will help reduce the number of disruptions and improve the reliability of the water supply in these areas.
